• The 4th Africa International E-Waste Conference will be held on October 16 2024 at the WEEE Ce ntre in Nairobi Kenya. This comes days after Kenya joined the rest of the world to commemmorate the world’s International E-Waste day marked on October 14 . This year’s theme is: E-waste Policies, Governance and Regulations: Enabling a Sustainable E-Waste Ecosystem. The event focuses on enhancing collaboration among African Countries strengthening E-Waste legislation, intergrating global strategies as well as securing financing for effective E-Waste management.
The 4th Africa International E-Waste Conference will be held on October 16, 2024 at the WEEE Centre in Nairobi Kenya. The event focuses on enhancing collaboration among African Countries strengthening E-Waste legislation, intergrating global strategies as well as securing financing for effective E-Waste management.

It is expected to host a diverse range of stakeholders, including government officials,policy makers, civil society organisations as well as experts from across the globe.The conference is set to be held in a hybrid mode, allowing both in-person and online attendance.

The International E-Waste Day was created in 2018 by the Waste from Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Forumn to raise awareness about the need to recycle E-Waste.It has since gained recognition ,Africa being a key focus as a result of the increasing E-generation

The 4th Africa International E-Waste Day is organized in Partnership with OUSEI KANKYOSHOHI Co., LTD Close the Gap Ict Authority ,Foreign Commonwealth and Development office. The event is open to the public and registration is available in the WEEE Centre website.
