In his remarks, Duale emphasized the significance of these new NDCs.

“The implementation period of Kenya’s new NDC will be after the lapse of Kenya Vision 2030, the priority mitigation and adaptation actions are aligned with her draft Long-Term Low Emissions development strategy (2022-2050) that sets out the vision objectives and priority interventions for delivering economic growth whilst transitioning towards a carbon neutral economy.”

This meeting marks an important step in Kenya's commitment to combating climate change and showcases the government's proactive approach to sustainable development.
