In a major push for environmental conservation and sustainable energy, Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Forestry Soipan Tuya will spearhead a large-scale tree planting exercise in Narasha Forest, Baringo County, today, May 17, 2024. Together, they aim to plant 80,000 trees in the Narasha Forest ecosystem.

CS Tuya will be joined by the Cabinet Secretary for Energy Davis Chirchir, as well as staff from state corporations KenGen and Kenya Pipeline, along with Kenya Forest Service personnel and local community members.

"This effort also directly supports Kenya's broader energy strategy by expanding renewable biomass resources."
