Kenya’s Tourism and Wildlife Cabinet Secretary, Rebecca Miano, is urging Kenyans to seize the opportunity to explore their own country and uncover the wonders that lie within it.
The National Tourism Week, which began on September 22 and runs until September 29, is a perfect occasion for Kenyans to engage with their natural environment. As an added incentive, all National Parks will offer free entry on September 28, 2024.
“This week is a chance to showcase the magic of Kenya; our stunning beaches, thrilling safaris, vibrant culture, and other unique attractions,” Miano stated.
This year, Kisumu County is proudly hosting both Tourism Week and World Tourism Day, featuring a series of exciting events aimed at fostering a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable tourism sector.

“I ask all Kenyans to visit our National Parks without any charge. I urge you to come out in large numbers to sample the beauty of our wildlife and see firsthand the conservation efforts underway,” she said.

“I warmly invite you to explore the beauty of our nation. On September 28, all our National Parks will be open to the public for free.
