On November 27, 2024, the Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Forestry Hon Aden Duale hosted World Food Proramme (WFP) Kenya Country Director Ms. Lauren Landis who paid him a courtesy visit at the office.

Hon. Duale and his guest discussed the proposed 'GOK-WFP: Resilient and Inclusive Food Systems' programme that proposes an innovative 'food-for-food security swaps' climate financing mechanism.

“The initiative introduces a groundbreaking 'food-for-food security swaps' climate financing model, with WFP serving as the Development Impact Provider, working closely with national and county institutions in Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASALs),” said Duale on X.
