The Kenya Meteorological Department has advised the public to prepare for significant rainfall this week, warning of varied weather patterns across the country.

From November 5 to 11, regions in the Highlands East of the Rift Valley—including Nairobi, Nyandarua, Laikipia, and Nyeri—are expected to experience morning rains, with intermittent showers in the afternoon and at night.

Similar patterns are forecast for northeastern counties like Marsabit, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, and Isiolo, as well as the southeastern lowlands, including Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, and Kajiado. Coastal counties such as Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, and Kwale will see showers in the mornings, afternoons, and evenings early in the week, followed by largely sunny conditions later.
